All our books are paperbacks sold on Amazon, including Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es, Amazon.nl, Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.au. Every Buy on Amazon button on this site opens the book in the Amazon store you've chosen (change it at the bottom of any page).

Our books are printed on demand: Amazon prints each copy when it's ordered and ships it to you, and takes care of payment, delivery and returns. It means no warehouse full of books, and delivery to most of the world.

Not at the moment. Owlbrook books are paperbacks, because puzzles are at their best with a pencil. Our free puzzles can be played on screen or printed, though.

Amazon sells and delivers our books, so please contact Amazon customer service through your Amazon account. They can replace or refund an order much faster than we can.

Yes. Every book explains its rules with a worked example before you start, and the first puzzles are gentle. The difficulty climbs as you go. Our puzzle guide explains every type in a sentence or two.

Yes. Every book includes full solutions, and many include hints as well, so you can get a nudge without seeing the whole answer.

Every puzzle has been checked by computer to have exactly one solution, and the books are designed to be solved by logic alone. (For Five-Letter Word Detective, the answers were checked against a large English dictionary, and every intended answer is an everyday word.)

No. Every book stands on its own. Within a series you'll meet some of the same places and characters, which is a nice bonus if you read more than one.

They're murder mysteries written for adults, but deaths are stated, never described: there's no gore, no graphic violence, no sexual content and no swearing. The Oddities books are whimsical and creepy-cute rather than scary.

Most are 8.5 × 11 inches, with large pages and roomy grids. The Owlbrook Oddities books are square, 8.5 × 8.5 inches. Five-Letter Word Detective is a handy 6 × 9 inches.

Punchline Word Search uses big, clear grid letters (18 pt or larger) and is a favorite gift for parents and grandparents. Our other books use large pages and roomy grids but aren't labelled large print.

They're written for grown-ups. The Owlbrook Puzzles books are family-friendly, and the Legends and Oddities books are gentle in tone, so they may suit confident older children. The Owlbrook Noir and Owlbrook Grim Tales murder mysteries are best for adults.
